About The Position

Upon evaluation and interview, employees may serve in roles such as but not limited to: Machine Operator Assistant, Assembly Support, Welding Support, and Additional Support Functions. This role requires a self-starter who can work without supervision, demonstrating superior service skills and professionalism. The position involves continuous learning, good attendance, and adherence to company policies and work rules to ensure a safe work environment. A positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement in quality, safety, organization, cleanliness, and productivity are essential. The ability to understand and follow blueprints and documentation, and to assist in other areas of the shop when required, is also necessary.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
• Read a tape measure to within 1/16”
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to read and understand all engineering prints related to the process
• Able to trouble shoot and solve problems related to the process

Nice To Haves

• A General understanding of common hand tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Proficiently complete all production and quality documentation.
• Maintain acceptable production rates within the skill level, by meeting or exceeding efficiency goals.
• Perform quality checks to ensure materials, parts and workmanship are compliant with engineering requirements and production expectations.
• Contribute to Lean and 5s Implemented in your areas.
• Must be a self-starter that can work without supervision.
• Demonstrate superior service skill(s) and professionalism in day-to-day dealings with coworkers, setting a good example in attendance and work ethics.
• Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as ensuring a safe work environment is maintained.
• Strive to continually improve quality, safety, organization, cleanliness and productivity within your department.
• Able to understand and follow blueprints and/or documentation.
• Proficiently complete all documents pertaining to the process.
• Assist in other areas of the shop when required.
