About The Position
We are looking for a BLOCK YARD LABORER to join our Columbia, MO location. As a General Laborer with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will perform a variety of tasks as part of a crew to help ensure safe and efficient jobsite performance.
Requirements
- Basic hand tool knowledge.
- MSHA certification preferred.
- Demonstrates proficiency in difficult and high-pressure situations.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements and noise.

Responsibilities
- Safely perform pre-shift, post-shift, inspections/ plant inspections, and report unsafe equipment conditions to foreman or supervisor.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices on plants and equipment.
- Assist maintenance with plant repairs when needed.
- Assist with the daily production and operations of the plant.
- General labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping.
