About The Position

Individuals hired as a General Labor Associates for our box plant in Richland will be hired and trained to work in a General Labor position. The successful candidates will join our highly-ranked team and learn about our business, culture and expectations. The hourly rate will be $25.58.

Requirements

  • Maintain a safety mindset.
  • Sets up converting and/or corrugator accurately in accordance with proper setup techniques.
  • Inspect all material before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.
  • Monitors box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and print.
  • Check rolls for damage.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  • Assist others within the crew with job duties on the machine.
  • Complete necessary data entry and reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Submit maintenance work orders through BPMS for repairs needed.
  • Complete annual food packaging and safety training.
  • Report any discovered food packaging safety risks or concerns.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
  • Ability to work within a team and effectively communicate with members.
  • Mechanical aptitude, ability to read a tape measure and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to maneuver through computer programs to access information and enter accurate information.
  • Self-starter, ability to troubleshoot machinery and solutions oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Continuous education and/or trade school.
  • Previous leadership responsibilities.
  • Two years of forklift experience.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be solutions oriented and proactive.
  • Previous corrugated experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and work as a cohesive team member.
