About The Position

JACQUET is an established market leader in the distribution of stainless steel and nickel alloys in plate and round bar, striving to be the best supplier of high-quality in-house processed cut parts using plasma machines, water jets, lasers, or saws. Their applications span various industrial sectors including water, environment, energy, mechanical and forged metal construction, chemical and agri-food, gas processing and storage, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic sectors. JACQUET has four strategically placed locations within the US (Pennsylvania, California, Texas, and Wisconsin) and many more globally. The company is seeking a General Laborer for the 2nd Shift at their Limerick, PA facility. The 2nd shift operates Monday-Friday, from 2pm-10:30pm. The role offers training, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. The General Laborer is responsible for a wide variety of tasks to support the service center operations.

Requirements

Minimum 18 years
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to read and write English
Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and reach
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Attention to detail
Team player
Safety oriented
Previous warehouse and material handling experience
Prior Experience operating a forklift - or willing to be trained

Mechanical knowledge or background a plus

Responsibilities

Material handling (loading and unloading machines, pulling orders, storing rems)
Marking parts according to customer order specifications
Grinding slag from finished parts
Assisting with general maintenance of machines and facility
Loading and unloading trucks
Processing and weighing scrap material
Assist with inventory accuracy, and locating inventory
Measuring and inspecting parts using tape measure and calipers
Filling out inspection forms
Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by the Operations Manager or the floor supervisor
