General Laborer (2nd Shift)
About The Position
The General Laborer is responsible for safely operating band saws, heat treat oven, sandblasting cabinet, deburring wheel, and other manufacturing processes while supporting general production. Pay Rate: $19.50 – $22.00/hour DOE. Every day at Hubbell is different and you’ll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you’ll make a difference by reading and interpreting work orders, cut lists, blueprints, and production schedules, measuring and verifying material dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools, loading, unloading, and moving raw materials using proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment, deburring, labeling, and organizing finished materials for downstream operations, performing routine machine maintenance, including blade changes and cleaning, and keeping the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. You will also assist with general labor tasks throughout the facility as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Ability to read tape measures accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as required
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing, or machine operation experience preferred.
