About The Position

The General Laborer works as part of a team supporting manufacturing operations, with the goal of increasing productivity and reducing downtime and waste. The role assists with jobs throughout the plant floor and takes an active role in plant- and facilities-related work. The employee follows company safety rules and lock-out/tag-out procedures and maintains the shop and equipment according to 5S standards. The position is located at 8313 Triad Dr, Greensboro, NC 27409, and is scheduled from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Must be able to work daily overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must have a good attendance record.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to work closely with other production personnel on a day-to-day basis.
• Ability to share ideas with others to solve important problems.
• Excellent communication skills, including strong verbal communication.
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
• Work with a sense of urgency to reduce machine downtime.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
• Understanding that temperatures and work volumes may vary.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations as part of a team to increase productivity and decrease downtime and waste.
• Assist with jobs throughout the plant floor.
• Take an active role in plant- and facilities-related work.
• Follow company safety rules and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Maintain the shop and shop equipment according to 5S standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Stack parts weighing up to 30 pounds for periods of up to 12 hours.
