General Laborer - 2nd Shift
About The Position
ALL POSITIONS AVAILABLE ARE FOR SECOND SHIFT. TRAINING MAY TAKE PLACE ON FIRST SHIFT DEPENDENT UPON WHERE YOU ARE PLACED, BUT ONCE TRAINED YOU WILL BE MOVED TO SECOND SHIFT TO FILL OPEN POSITIONS. Shift start time ranges on customer demand. Second shift times are as follows - 8hr shift: 2pm-10pm, 9hr shift: 3pm-12am, 10hr shift: 4pm-2am. Starting wage - $21.25 an hour/ $.55 shift differential. This is base pay. Dependent on the job you qualify/are placed on pay goes all the way up to $24.73/hr. We are not an assembly line plant. On the job training provided. Yearly bonuses available dependent upon meeting or exceeding production goals. We expect self-motivation, drive and teamwork.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Must be willing to work the first and second shift.
- Must have a good attendance record.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Possess an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
- Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work.
- Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.
- Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
- Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.
