We’re looking for a General Laborer to join our SAP Department! This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where no two days are exactly alike. You’ll work alongside a great team, learn a variety of equipment and processes, and play an important part in keeping our operation running safely, efficiently, and smoothly. Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks following company procedures.
  • Wrap, coil upend, label, and band materials while keeping accurate records.
  • Keep work centers stocked with essential materials such as skids, coils, and scrap bins.
  • Operate the company box truck to move materials and dumpsters between mill and SAP locations.
  • Accurately record daily scrap and metal weights.
  • Bale scrap and safely stack it on skids.
  • Set up and operate the 300-ton, 443, and 0004 presses across a variety of gauges and alloys.
  • Measure and record blank dimensions for press operations.
  • Set up and operate the circle shear, making accurate diameter adjustments and measurements.
  • Operate Cut-to-Length (CTL) equipment, including loading and unloading coils, centering coils, and setting up the leveler, side guides, paper interleaf, PVC, and stacker.
  • Inspect press parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Pack and load finished parts according to shop instructions, maintain accurate counts, and complete required paperwork.
  • Keep production scorecards, inspection records, and finished goods inventory accurate and up to date.
  • Assist Shipping and Receiving with paperwork, material handling, and shipping coil products.
  • Prep skids and materials for upcoming orders.
  • Set up dies, choppers, and oil application systems in mechanical presses.
  • Safely change punches and rings using cranes in the die setup area.
  • Complete test runs of 50–100 pieces to verify accurate press setups.
  • Monitor tooling and determine when sharpening or rebuilding is needed.
  • Organize, sharpen, and maintain tooling to support quality production.
  • Build new skills by learning a variety of equipment and processes.
