General Laborer
About The Position
Perform tasks involving physical labor at a construction site. This includes cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, raking material, and cleaning up rubble, debris, and other materials. The role also involves mowing and weed-eating of vacant lots, installing erosion control, LOD fencing, and temporary fence panels, and cleaning storm drain boxes. Assistance with snow removal during winter months and laying concrete blankets is also required. The position involves maintaining equipment daily, controlling inventory in the crew work truck, and filling out and turning in completed Work Orders daily. Accurate time records must be kept, and other duties as requested by the Foreman & Superintendent will be performed. Communication skills are essential, as is the ability to stay on task and on schedule. The General Laborer will work directly with onsite superintendents to support daily operations and project needs and demonstrate clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors. Providing excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and helpful attitude on the job site and collaborating within a team-oriented environment to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely are key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- Must have valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Understand and operate various types of excavation equipment is helpful
Responsibilities
