About The Position

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a General Laborer - 2nd Shift to support our Cleveland operations. The incumbent will be responsible for the general sorting of metals on the premises. AIM is a family-owned company and a global leader in the metal recycling industry with a long history of success and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Requirements

• Aptitude for understanding and using machines and tools
• Superb Customer Service
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to consistently lift or move up to 100lbs
• Must be able to stand, reach, walk, stoop, and crawl
• Ability to work as a team
• Familiar with OSHA regulations
• Excellent attendance and safety record

Nice To Haves

• Experience in metal recycling

Responsibilities

• Receiving, sorting, and organizing different types of non-ferrous metals of different alloys (e.g., aluminum, copper, and brass)
• Operating a 30lb cut-off saw and baler
• Cleaning and shearing of radiators
• Performing other general labor duties
• Working with a safety-oriented mindset
