About The Position

Join Pine Township's Public Works team and help maintain the community's roads, parks, facilities, and public spaces throughout the winter season. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, operating heavy equipment, and supporting essential municipal services. The position is a winter seasonal role, running from November 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with a rate of $22.50 per hour and up to 40 hours weekly. A retention bonus is offered.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions and lift up to 60 pounds.
Ability to report to the Township Municipal Building within 60 minutes for winter call-outs.

Nice To Haves

Roadway maintenance, construction, paving, landscaping, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or general maintenance.
Heavy equipment operation and vehicle maintenance.
Certifications such as Flagger, Pesticide Applicator, Paving Inspector, or similar is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Operates a 20,000 lb. GVW Ford F-550/600 Truck with automatic transmission.
Perform winter maintenance of roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and public facilities.
Assist with roadway repairs, signage installation, right-of-way clearing, and tree removal.
Support maintenance of Township parks, fields, pavilions, landscaping, and outdoor amenities.
Complete general facility maintenance, including basic repairs and construction-related tasks.
Operate and maintain equipment such as loaders, skid steers, backhoes, tractors, mowers, chainsaws, and power tools.
Participate in emergency response and on-call winter operations.
