About The Position

Calumet Armature is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined General Laborer to support daily operations within a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is responsible for assisting with a variety of shop tasks including equipment handling, basic mechanical work, and the use of hand and power tools. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general shop and production duties as assigned
• Operate and safely use hand tools and power tools (grinders, drills, impact tools, etc.)
• Support disassembly and assembly of electric motors, pumps, and related equipment
• Clean, prep, and organize parts and components for repair or rebuild
• Perform basic mechanical tasks under the direction of experienced technicians
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
• Assist with material handling including moving parts, loading/unloading, and staging materials
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
• Inspect tools and equipment to ensure proper working condition
• Support other departments as needed to meet production goals
