About The Position

Franklin Logistics is seeking a motivated Warehouse/Logistics General Laborer to join their team. This hands-on role involves manually labeling incoming items, ensuring accurate product identification, and organizing products for storage and shipment using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. While heavy equipment operation is not part of this role, it requires an individual who enjoys staying active and is detail-oriented. The position operates in a fast-paced warehouse environment, reporting directly to the site supervisor. The role involves standing, bending, reaching, and walking for extended periods, and utilizing tools such as tape dispensers, label printers, and markers. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position with hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret labels, product documentation, and basic inventory information.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed. Team Lifting is required for weight 50 lbs. and over.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately apply internal and customer-specified labels to products as they are received into the warehouse.
  • Verify product information to ensure correct labeling and identification.
  • Assist operator in organizing and staging products for storage and shipment following FIFO guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of labeled inventory and report discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Assist in sorting and positioning products based on date codes, lot numbers, or receiving sequence to support FIFO compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding workflow and any issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
