About The Position

The General Laborer will be responsible for performing day-to-day production line duties, including various manual labor tasks to support manufacturing operations at Osmundson Mfg. Co. In addition to regular production line responsibilities, General Laborers may be required to sweep and clean shop floors, assemble cardboard boxes, move materials and supplies, and perform other general labor tasks as assigned by the Shift Supervisor. This is a 6-month position, requiring 40 hours per week on the 3rd shift, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The ideal candidate should be dependable, hardworking, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining workplace safety and cleanliness.

Requirements

• 6-months of employment experience
• Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work on-site
• Ability to understand basic English as necessary to react to the demands of a factory floor
• The sense of being able to see, hear, and have the full power of speech is required
• Body movements include walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending, and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingers

Nice To Haves

• Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Participates in the completion of the following Production Processes: setups, line runs, paint and pack, general warehousing, cleaning, basic quality control, operating equipment as required, assisting other departments as requested
• Monitors Company safety under the direction of the Supervisor
• Provide support to the Production Line Lead to keep employees informed on those matters that affect the successful performance of their jobs as it relates to quality
• Ensures that all activity related to this role is accomplished ethically
• Maintains in good order, all records and files assigned to this function and ensures the safekeeping and confidentiality of all company records including computer information
• Maintains the working area in a neat, orderly, and hazard-free condition
• Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
