About The Position

This is a part-time Janitorial position within the Manufacturing & Operations category, specifically in the Plant Production family. The role involves performing various checks related to food safety, quality, and customer requirements, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, and maintaining good housekeeping. The position requires strict adherence to safety guidelines, OSHA requirements, and the proper use of personal protective equipment. The individual must demonstrate the ability to understand and follow customer requirements, maintain a satisfactory attendance record, and be willing to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as needed. Teamwork, compliance with plant policies, and participation in meetings are essential. The role also involves utilizing Process Excellence tools to improve plant performance and completing specific projects as directed. Duties may include operating Clean in Place (CIP) systems, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and maintaining sanitation records. Effective time and task management, managing multiple priorities, and inventory/stocking of sanitation supplies are also key aspects of the role. Special cleaning projects and creating work orders for equipment repair may be assigned. The position requires attendance and completion of chemical safety training and the ability to understand MSDS information. The General Sanitation Laborer will be involved in cleaning and sanitation of various areas within the plant, including Belts, Blending, CIP, Clean and Grind, Cooker, Cooler Dock, COP Tank, Palletizer Dock, and Wrapper areas. A commendable or better record in teamwork and overall job performance, with an absenteeism rate of 65 points or less and no disciplinary action, is required.

Requirements

High School Diploma – G.E.D.
Ability to read and comprehend written or verbal instructions
Ability to operate power cleaning and sanitizing equipment
Willing to learn new process systems as they evolve
Must be physically capable of performing moderate to heavy lifting
Must be able to work in wet and humid conditions
English speaking/reading requirement in positions that require comprehension of the English language.
Satisfactory attendance record.
Must be willing to work weekends, off-shifts, OT as needed.
Must be on-time to work.
Teamwork and compliance with plant policies and procedures.
Must have an absenteeism rate of 65 points or less, commendable or better record in teamwork and overall job performance and have no disciplinary action
Schreiber requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based.

Responsibilities

Perform all process CP, CCP, QP, and CQP checks required for the position.
Follow reaction plans for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement deviations.
Must follow Good Manufacturing practices and good housekeeping guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to properly follow safety guidelines, OSHA requirements and wear personal protective equipment.
Must be able to identify and understand customer requirements.
Attend and participate in meetings.
Utilize Process Excellence tools to improve plant performance and complete specific projects as directed by Department Team Leaders.
Engage in P.E. and SPS tools and support PE initiatives.
Performs duties as required by plant leadership to ensure efficient & effective operation of production processes.
Operate Clean in Place (CIP) systems for specific equipment.
Perform cleaning and sanitizing of casting, processing and packaging equipment using hand tools, power sprayers, rinsing unites, and sanitation chemicals.
Ability to read, understand, and follow the Master Sanitation Schedule and maintain sanitation records as needed.
Perform final sanitation inspection and sanitizing equipment prior to start up.
Effectively practice time and task management.
Manage multiple priorities.
Inventory, stocking and replenishment of sanitation supplies.
Special cleaning projects as assigned.
Create work orders as needed to repair or replace damaged equipment.
Will be involved in using TMP and QIP.
Attend and complete chemical safety training.
Demonstrate ability to find and understand MSDS information.
General Sanitation Labor will be involved in cleaning and sanitation of one or more of the following areas (Belts, Blending, CIP, Clean and Grind, Cooker, Cooler Dock, COP Tank, Palletizer Dock, Wrapper areas)
