This is a part-time Janitorial position within the Manufacturing & Operations category, specifically in the Plant Production family. The role involves performing various checks related to food safety, quality, and customer requirements, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, and maintaining good housekeeping. The position requires strict adherence to safety guidelines, OSHA requirements, and the proper use of personal protective equipment. The individual must demonstrate the ability to understand and follow customer requirements, maintain a satisfactory attendance record, and be willing to work weekends, off-shifts, and overtime as needed. Teamwork, compliance with plant policies, and participation in meetings are essential. The role also involves utilizing Process Excellence tools to improve plant performance and completing specific projects as directed. Duties may include operating Clean in Place (CIP) systems, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and maintaining sanitation records. Effective time and task management, managing multiple priorities, and inventory/stocking of sanitation supplies are also key aspects of the role. Special cleaning projects and creating work orders for equipment repair may be assigned. The position requires attendance and completion of chemical safety training and the ability to understand MSDS information. The General Sanitation Laborer will be involved in cleaning and sanitation of various areas within the plant, including Belts, Blending, CIP, Clean and Grind, Cooker, Cooler Dock, COP Tank, Palletizer Dock, and Wrapper areas. A commendable or better record in teamwork and overall job performance, with an absenteeism rate of 65 points or less and no disciplinary action, is required.
