About The Position

Sabrosura Foods is seeking a General Laborer to join their packaging team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the quality, safety, and integrity of food products while assisting in the day-to-day operations of the packaging department. This position involves working with various machines, products, and packaging materials, requiring adaptability and a willingness to learn. The role operates in a team environment where clear communication and adherence to safety and quality standards are paramount.

Requirements

Ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.
Ability to read and understand documents and instructions (written, oral, or schedule form).
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Ability to deal politely and professionally with plant quality control and coworkers.
Ability to perform several tasks at once.
Ability to follow direction or instruction.
Ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.
Ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
Ability to sit/stand/bend/stretch.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Good attendance record.

Constant rotation of job duties every couple hours.

Responsibilities

Perform production, sanitation, and other general duties as assigned in accordance with established safety and quality standards.
Observe and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and OSHA requirements to perform essential functions safely.
Place product on tables, into containers, and move containers around production lines.
Ensure containers have correct product information.
Weigh out product and place them on packaging equipment.
Inspect and remove defects or any extraneous materials from product.
Report any mechanical or safety problems.
Adhere to all safety practices, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Keep work area clean by sweeping, shoveling, dumping, or disposing of various materials.
Adhere to all plant hygiene standards to ensure product integrity.
Ensure employee safety, food safety, legality, and quality within the scope of job responsibilities.
Demonstrate and uphold company core values in all work interactions and decision-making processes.
