General Laborer II Temp - Intermittent Snow Removal - Seasonal
About The Position
Performs duties for the Streets Division. This is an on-call position. Generally, work hours are 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. (12 hour shifts) as determined by storm events and may include weekends and holidays. Some overtime may be required. Must be able to report to Streets Division office located at 2525 W. 1st Street, Loveland within 30 minutes of notification. The hiring range for this position is $17.33- $23.40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a part year position lasting a maximum of 10 months working less than 30 hours per week. Position will remain open until filled.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Minimum of 18 years of age at time of hire.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must have the ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with co-workers and crew leaders.
- Must be able to work in adverse conditions such as extreme weather variances, heavy traffic and equipment noise, and close proximity to moving vehicles.
Nice To Haves
- Previous snow removal experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Removes snow from streets, sidewalks, alleys and parking lots using various equipment.
- Flagging operation for snow removal using truck mounted or towed arrow board.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
