General Laborer / Helper
About The Position
Loenbro is seeking a dedicated, hardworking construction laborer/helper to assist with construction tasks and help ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. The role is physically demanding and requires mindfulness and the ability to work well with a team. The position is based in Elko, Nevada, within Loenbro West, and reports to a Journeyman, Lead, or Foreman. The work environment may include manufacturing, pipeline, and refining settings; extreme cold or hot temperatures; confined spaces such as tanks and vessels; limited working surfaces and visibility; noise above 85 decibels; and intense odors. Employees must comply with applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety policies. Requirements
- GED or high school diploma.
- Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.
- Ability to lift and carry objects and materials of various weights.
Nice To Haves
- Skill in math, including adding and subtracting fractions.
- Ability to pass preliminary and periodic drug testing.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact soil.
- Assist with installing construction materials, including pipes, concrete, and steel.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
