Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods)
  • Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Willingness to work around bucket trucks and aerial work environments
  • Willingness to travel and work extended or irregular hours as needed
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, outdoor labor, or utility work
  • Exposure to telecommunications or aerial fiber projects (not a requirement)
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Experience working on active job sites or roadside work zones

Responsibilities

  • Support Aerial Fiber Technicians with general labor duties on overhead fiber installation projects
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials, tools, and equipment at job sites
  • Provide ground support for bucket truck operations, including material handling and maintaining safe work zones
  • Handle fiber optic cable, hardware, and equipment carefully under direction of technicians
  • Assist with traffic control setup and maintaining clear, safe work areas around active roadways
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites, including debris removal and site cleanup
  • Support crew members with basic tasks to keep work progressing efficiently
  • Follow all company safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and job site procedures at all times
  • Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Perform additional labor duties as required to support aerial fiber project completion
