About The Position

General Labor employees contribute to the production process by performing hands-on tasks such as dumping product into packaging equipment, catching and packing finished goods, palletizing completed cases, conducting visual quality checks, and helping maintain a safe, efficient, and clean manufacturing environment. Your work will play a direct role in delivering high-quality products to consumers. This position requires the ability to work overtime, which may include varying start times, end times, and weekends dependent on business needs. The core hours for this role are 4:00 PM - 4:30 AM.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and apply common-sense problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Assemble cartons and packaging materials
  • Consistently load candy into production and packaging equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and work in accordance with Ferrara safety standards
  • Perform routine visual quality checks to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Promptly notify the machine operator of equipment jams
  • Inspect materials, products, and containers throughout the packaging process
  • Pack specialty product assortments and promotional configurations as assigned
  • Package finished goods to ensure quality presentation and appearance
  • Verify and execute designated pallet patterns as required
  • Assist with production support, product handling, and cleanup activities as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
