About The Position

The Sheeter Backman is responsible for producing neat and accurate sheets to be used on the Lithographic Press. The sheeter will ensure proper size and quality of sheets produced. A person in this role with exceptional performance will have the opportunity over time to learn new duties and move to working on the press. An ideal candidate is someone with a solid work ethic, good attendance, close attention to detail, and a desire to grow their career with us!

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
The physical demands require standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
This position requires frequent walking.
Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

Any experience in printing or manufacturing is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

Determine and prioritize which jobs to run based on production schedule needs.
Support the Sheeter Operator, move loads of sheets
Prep the area, for next run
Verify feed sizes, sheet size, and material code all match specification sheet.
Mount and web rolls of paper, adjust web guide and roll stand width to position rolls correctly.
Communicate in system any special attention items with products being passed down the line.
Check quality of sheets to ensure they are wrinkle free, correct size, and integrity of material is intact
Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of work area/production zone.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
