TYSON FOODS -WILKESBORO FRESH PLANT: 1st Shift General Labor PR01
About The Position
The General Labor position is assigned to a specific department and is responsible for supporting daily production and operational needs. Team members in this role must be flexible and capable of performing a variety of tasks within their assigned department and may be temporarily assigned to assist other departments as business needs require. General Labor team members are expected to learn and perform multiple job functions, follow all safety and quality standards, and complete any additional duties assigned by management. This position is responsible for filling daily staffing needs within the department. At the beginning of each shift, the General Labor team member will report to Production Management to receive their work assignment for the day. Assignments may vary based on operational requirements and staffing needs.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and production environments.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of production and labor-related tasks as assigned.
- Support departmental staffing needs and operational requirements.
- Follow all company safety, food safety, quality, and attendance policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Assist other departments as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
- MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION.
- MUST BE SAFE AND OBSERVE ALL OF TYSONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
