About The Position
Since 1969, our factory in Mechanicsburg, PA, has been a cornerstone of the community, producing a wide range of dry pet food for beloved brands like Puppy Chow®, Pro Plan®, and Friskies®. Located conveniently west of Harrisburg, it offers easy access to major cities. You will work in hot, cold, and dusty environments, with a primary focus on maintaining equipment and ensuring cleanliness as part of our safety-first culture. Opportunities include learning to operate, clean, and maintain our production facility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 6+ months' of experience manufacturing, production, warehouse, agriculture, military, food service, or related environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a clean and safe production environment including sanitation, sweeping, cleaning of machinery and remove trash and recycling
- Work closely with operations and quality to address priorities following standard expectations for cleaning and sanitation
- Work closely with operations to maintain upkeep on equipment and environment cleanliness
- Regularly lift items up to 57 pounds safely
- Operate walkie, sweeper, and scrubber safely
- Performs dye making and drying
- Assist production team with changeovers
- Develop working knowledge of production equipment and operations
Benefits
- The approximate hourly pay for this position is $20.06.
