About The Position

General Labor employees work at various stations along the production line processing poultry food products. Their work affects productivity, product quality, food safety, and labor efficiency. Employees are expected to perform their work safely, consistently, and efficiently, follow operating procedures and quality expectations, and maintain a clean and safe environment. The position is based in Canton, Ohio.

The work takes place in a poultry processing facility and may involve wet or moist floors, temperatures from 28 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, product temperatures as low as 25°F, noise up to 110 dB, and exposure to dust, feathers, and processing chemicals. The role requires standing for the entire shift and using required protective equipment and tools.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly.
• Ability to work with others in a close environment.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work in a stationary position, standing for the entire shift.
• Ability to use tools such as scissors, knives, and/or power tools for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to climb steps and access and exit the production environment.
• Ability to repetitively handle 8 to 10 pounds and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 70 pounds.
• Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a poultry processing or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work at various stations along the production line processing poultry food products.
• Process product according to operating procedures and quality expectations.
• Follow safety requirements, including use of personal protective equipment, prevention and reporting of unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management-related matters.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Participate in Company and department safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
