This position offers opportunities within both the Processing and Harvest departments. In Processing, tasks may involve using knives and hooks for deboning or trimming, or operating powered equipment like saws, whizard knives, or skinning machines. Packaging roles include bagging and boxing product. The Processing environment is extremely cold and wet, with temperatures ranging from 33-49 degrees Fahrenheit. In Harvest, responsibilities include using knives and hooks to remove hides, trimming large pieces, or operating powered equipment such as saws or air knives. Some roles may involve operating heavy equipment. The Harvest environment is extremely hot, wet, and humid, with temperatures ranging from 80-100 degrees Fahrenheit. Both departments require the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 40 pounds, and stand for 8-10 hours a day. Work environments involve exposure to meat products, including blood, fat, bones, and hair. The Team Member must complete all required training and perform any other assigned duties. This role is for A Shift, working Monday to Friday from 5:30 am to 5:00 pm, including Saturdays, with availability for overtime.
