About The Position

TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia and Las Vegas, Nevada, and Holt, MI. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain such as Styrofoam coolers. Our aspiration is to provide packaging solutions that customers and end-consumers feel great about using.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Be on your feet for 10-12 hours.
• Lift up to 50 lbs in a continuous manner.
• Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
• Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts.
• Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Running production and following safety rules / procedures.
• Keeping up with the flow of production and minimizing downtime.
• Using band saws, rip saws, baler, and plussing machine.
• Building boxes with use of tape gun and staple gun.
• Helping with inventory at the end of the month.
• Ensuring area safety and housekeeping.
• Committing to continuous process improvement and to produce safe and quality products that meet specifications and our responsibility to our customers.
• Applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Performing other duties as necessitated by the business.
