About The Position
The General Labor/Maintenance associate assists with the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the building and campus. The role repairs, maintains, and assists with installing equipment, while helping provide a safe, healthy, and well-maintained workplace. The position is at Bosch, 8101 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, South Carolina.
Requirements
- No experience is necessary; training is provided.
- A valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license may be required.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Perform minor repairs to doors, fixtures, and furniture.
- Record information from meters and gauges at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Regularly replace HVAC air filters.
- Monitor building security and safety, including locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use for hazards.
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks.
- Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery and clear debris.
- Notify managers about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.
- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding for facility events.
- Perform ad hoc floor cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming; gather and empty trash; and service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Drive vehicles required to perform the work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
