About The Position

Assists with the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and smooth operation of the building and campus. Repairs, maintains, and assists in installing equipment. The position is located at Perfetti Van Melle in Loves Park, Illinois, and is scheduled full time, Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary.

The role includes routine building and grounds maintenance, minor repairs, safety and security checks, setup and cleanup for events, and occasional cleaning. Painting and light maintenance experience are required. A valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Perform minor repairs to doors, fixtures, and furniture.
• Record information from meters and gauges at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Regularly replace HVAC air filters.
• Monitor building security and safety, including locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use for hazards.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks.
• Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery and clear debris.
• Notify managers when major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding for events.
• Perform ad-hoc floor cleaning by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; gather and empty trash; and service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Drive vehicles required to perform the work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
