As a General Utility Worker on our team at Subway (Thompson Rivers University) you’ll take on the important task of customer service, building sandwiches wraps and salads for our guests. Requirements
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills
- Must be flexible and able to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service environment
- Ability to prepare sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to Subway standards
- Friendly attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to uniform standards
Nice To Haves
- Basic cash handling and point-of-sale experience preferred
- Food Safe certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain courteous and professional conduct at all times with guests, staff, and management
- Have a complete knowledge and understanding of ARAMARK and Subway policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests and responding to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Accurately take guest orders and process transactions
- Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other menu items according to established recipes and guest specifications
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all workstations, customer areas, equipment, and storage areas
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements regarding food handling
- Assist with stocking, inventory rotation, and replenishment of products and supplies
- Support fellow team members to ensure efficient daily operations
- Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties as assigned
- Promote a welcoming and positive environment for all guests
