1099 Contractor - General Handyman, Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Superior Contracting & Maintenance is seeking experienced trades professionals to join our contractor network for residential repair and maintenance work. We are looking for dependable contractors who take pride in quality workmanship, strong communication, and reliable service. Superior Contracting & Maintenance has over 13 years of industry experience and supports residential and property management clients across multiple states. Our teams handle a wide range of services including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, drywall, carpentry, flooring, painting, appliance installation, remediation, make-readies, and general maintenance work. We focus on dependable communication, quality service, and building long-term partnerships. Most technicians work within their local service areas, supporting property management companies and homeowners.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and professional attitude
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Must own a truck, van, or SUV suitable for transporting tools and materials
- Must have your own tools and be able to work independently
- Ability to lift and handle tools, materials, and equipment as needed
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Comfortable using online portal systems for work orders and updates
- HVAC technicians must hold EPA certification
- Active General Liability Insurance required (COI must be provided)
- W9 with valid Tax ID required
- Completion of onboarding and portal training required before receiving assignments
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years of experience in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, maintenance, or related trades
Responsibilities
- Complete repairs, maintenance, and installations in trades such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and general handyman services
- Troubleshoot issues and provide effective repair solutions
- Follow local safety requirements and industry best practices
- Maintain communication with the Superior team throughout each project
- Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
