About The Position
The General Foundry Molding position at Spokane Steel Foundry is a critical role responsible for producing high-quality molds used in steel casting processes. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in foundry molding or a related manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of foundry processes and mold making techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and apply that knowledge to create precise molds.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle molding materials and operate machinery safely and efficiently.
- Attention to detail to ensure that molds meet quality standards and specifications.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sand molds according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate molding machines and hand tools to shape and finish molds.
- Inspect molds for defects and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with foundry team members to coordinate production schedules and meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Monitor and replenish molding materials and supplies as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
