About The Position

The Molding Associate II - Plastics is a mid-level role within Repligen’s Injection Molding manufacturing group. Responsible for operating automated plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality components. This position requires strong technical skills to monitor equipment, adjust process parameters, troubleshoot basic issues, and maintain consistent part quality in a safe, efficient manner. The Associate II supports continuous improvement initiatives and may assist in training less experienced operators. 1st Shift - Monday - Friday, 6am-2:30pm Now offering a $2500 sign on bonus for new employees! Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
2-4 years of experience in plastic injection molding or automated manufacturing
Experience with automated molding machinery preferred
Understanding of plastic molding processes, raw materials, and common defects
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, mechanical drawings, SOPs, and technical documentation
Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills for automated equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic computer skills for production reporting and machine interface operation
Ability to work in a fast-paced, automated manufacturing environment with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Operate automated plastic injection molding machines and associated auxiliary equipment according to production schedules and specifications
Perform machine setup, start-up, shut-down, and basic parameter adjustments to optimize part quality and efficiency
Monitor automated equipment for alarms, faults, and product defects; take corrective action within operator scope or escalate to maintenance/technical support
Conduct in-process inspections using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.) to ensure components meet quality standards
Assist with mold changeovers, material handling, purging, and cleaning of equipment
Maintain accurate production records, including machine logs, lot tracking, and scrap reporting
Follow all safety procedures, GMP, and SOPs to ensure a safe working environment
Provide guidance or training to Injection Molding Operator I employees as needed
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving quality, efficiency, and reducing downtime
