About The Position

This position provides leadership, direction, and oversight to multiple pipe crews through foreman supervisors. The role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising daily pipe installation, fabrication, maintenance, and testing activities. The General Foreman ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, company policies, and regulatory requirements. This includes reviewing drawings, coordinating manpower and materials, monitoring productivity and quality, performing jobsite inspections, and collaborating with project management and other crafts to resolve issues. The role also assists with workforce planning and employee development, identifies and resolves field issues, participates in meetings, and ensures proper documentation of work progress.

Requirements

Must have 6+ years of experience in industrial pipefitting, with at least 3+ years in a foreman or supervisory role.
Must possess all Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required for pipefitting and crew supervision.
Must be able to successfully pass Zachry Motor Vehicle Authorization requirements if operating company vehicles.
Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position.
Must be able to work at heights and in elevated work environments as required.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must have extensive knowledge of industrial pipefitting methods, processes, materials, and installation techniques.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and construction documents.
Must possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Must have knowledge of applicable piping codes, standards, and industry best practices.
Must have basic computer skills and the ability to complete reports and documentation.
Must be able to identify, evaluate, and resolve field construction issues while maintaining schedule and quality requirements.
Must have a thorough understanding of construction safety requirements and safe work practices.
Must be able to effectively coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials.
Must be willing to follow all company directives and safety procedures.
Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying industrial environments as required.
Employees will be required to engage in extensive standing, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, sitting, and lifting.
Will talk and hear to communicate effectively with crews, supervisors, and other personnel.
Will use arms and hands to handle tools, materials, equipment, and perform work-related tasks.
May be required to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work from platforms or scaffolding while utilizing required fall protection.
May be required to work in confined spaces and other challenging industrial environments.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, and wind, while wearing appropriate PPE.
Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, high-visibility vests, gloves, and steel-toed work boots.

Nice To Haves

Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee.
Previous experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
NCCER Pipefitter Certification.
Experience on large industrial, refining, petrochemical, power, LNG, or manufacturing construction projects.
Additional supervisory, leadership, or craft-related certifications.

Responsibilities

Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Review drawings, isometrics, specifications, and work packages to ensure proper execution of work.
Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, and work schedules to meet project goals.
Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance of assigned crews.
Perform regular jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Work closely with project management, engineering, quality control, and other crafts to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
Assist with workforce planning, employee development, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Identify and resolve field issues, including safety concerns, material shortages, and installation conflicts.
Participate in planning meetings, safety meetings, and coordination activities.
Ensure proper documentation of work progress, manpower reports, and production tracking.
