The General Foreman will supervise and coordinate the inventory of power tools, equipment, and hoses for the Structural crew. This position involves analyzing complex structural ironwork projects, recommending alternative strategies, and reviewing project status reports to ensure timely completion. A strong understanding of applicable safety and code standards specific to the structural ironwork trade, including OSHA standards, is essential. The role requires maintaining safety accountability procedures, assuring high-quality work, and reviewing individual crew daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for compliance. Attending weekly crew safety meetings to ensure employee engagement and promoting a strong safety culture within supervised crews are key responsibilities. The General Foreman must identify and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize safety hazards. All other job-related duties as requested by supervision will also be performed.
