Job Summary: Oversees multiple carpentry crews to ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with DPR’s quality standards and project objectives. Manages field operations involving the construction, installation, and maintenance of general carpentry elements that support project execution. Coordinates resources, schedules, and workflows across projects while fostering professional development and accountability within teams. Partners with superintendents and project managers to ensure carpentry operations contribute to project success and compliance with all safety and performance standards.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
7 years of experience in carpentry or a related field required.
1–2 years of experience in a managerial capacity required.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification required.

Nice To Haves

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Manages multiple carpentry crews, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality performance on all assigned work.
Plans and coordinates daily field operations, labor allocation, and material needs to maintain schedule and productivity.
Collaborates with superintendents, project managers, and other trades to align carpentry work with overall project requirements.
Mentors and develops foremen and crew leads, promoting skill growth, performance consistency, and workforce engagement.
Oversees inspection of completed work to confirm adherence to quality standards and compliance with specifications.
Enforces DPR safety protocols and regulatory requirements, conducting regular safety inspections and meetings.
Reviews documentation including timecards, progress reports, and resource usage to support planning and continuous improvement.
