About The Position

Southwest Electrical Contracting Services (SWECS) is hiring proven General Foremen to directly run large electrical crews (30–80+ craft) on a fast-track industrial project in Childress, Texas. Reporting to the Field Superintendent, you will own your area/system: safety, quality, productivity, manpower, and daily execution. This is a true working-leadership role – you'll be in the field every day making it happen.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years as a journeyman electrician + 3+ years as a General Foreman or large-crew Foreman on industrial, power, refinery, renewable, or data center projects
  • Proven track record running crews of 30–80+ safely and on schedule
  • Expert knowledge of industrial electrical installation methods and NEC
  • Strong leadership – can motivate, coach, and hold people accountable
  • Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and schedules
  • Comfortable entering daily reports in Procore or similar apps
  • Must be willing and able to work average 72-84 hours/week in Childress, TX
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screen and background check
  • 10 years of experience in Electrical
  • 5 years of experience with Electrical drawings
  • TDLR (Required)
  • Ability to Commute to Childress, TX 79201 (Required)

  • Current OSHA 30-Hour and NFPA 70E training preferred
  • General Foreman: 8 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise multiple foremen and their crews
  • Plan, assign, and execute daily work from the 3-week look-ahead
  • Install or oversee installation of conduit, cable tray, cable pulling, terminations, grounding, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, lighting, and fire alarm systems
  • Maintain crew morale, discipline, and maximum productivity
  • Enforce all safety rules, LOTO, and NFPA 70E practices
  • Track and report daily manpower, quantities installed, and progress
  • Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and testing
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and material-ready
  • Lead morning huddles, toolbox talks, and stretch-and-flex
  • Solve field problems on the spot and escalate only when needed
