General Fabricator
About The Position
As a part of a diverse team of fabricators who will support aerospace and spaceflight production by performing hands-on fabrication and structural edge treatment. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to high-quality, reliable workmanship. This position will play a crucial role in the production process and contribute to the company’s overall performance in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Attitude (QCDSA). Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of related machining support or manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, purchase orders and routers.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools as well as precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver work on schedule.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and Material Management software.
- Detail-oriented with strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Safety-focused and quality-driven.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Organized, dependable, and able to work under supervision.

- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Adheres to OSHA, NADCAP, ISO9000 / AS9100, ITAR, FAA regulations and company specific safety standards.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift).
- Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50lbs regularly, and occasionally heavier weights with assistance.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to manufacturing environments, including moderate noise levels, vibrations, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required, Such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
Nice To Haves
- Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mechanical aptitude in aerospace, automotive, or motorsports.
- Forklift/material handling experience preferred (certification required).
- Working knowledge of Deburr Process and/or CNC Machining.
- Internal Certifications: Forklift, Slings/Cranes, FPV, Heat Treat or others deemed appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical fabrication using hand tools and inspection equipment.
- Operate within one or more of the following disciplines: – Deburr – Shear – Polish – Clean – Grinds – Saws – Drills
- Cross train in all fabrication areas.
- Follow detailed work instructions, process sheets, and blueprints.
- Handle delicate aerospace components with precision and care.
- Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspections.
- Accurately complete all required documentation (e.g., routers, inspection logs).
- Perform deburr/break sharp edge to work parts to industrial standard.
- File, use wire brush, buffing cloth, or pneumatic grinder to deburr or change dimension of part based on customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Collaborate with team members to identify issues and support manufacturability.
