About The Position

Smile Brands offers locum General Dentists flexible assignments ranging from short-term to longer-term opportunities. Dentists can choose assignments suited to their schedule, lifestyle, and career goals while retaining autonomy in their clinical practice and receiving support from a dedicated Smile Brands team. Opportunities are available across multiple markets and practices. Eligible assignments include travel expense coverage. Compensation is described as $1,200 per day plus production upside; another section lists compensation of $900–$1,100 per day. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The position involves providing comprehensive dental care, educating patients, coordinating care with the dental team, maintaining records, continuing professional education, and practicing in accordance with applicable ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements. Smile Brands supports more than 650 affiliated dental practices across 28 states. Benefits depend on employment status and hours worked. Requirements

DDS or DMD from an accredited school.
Active state dental license.
CPR certification.
DEA license or be in the process of obtaining one.
Controlled Substance License if required by the state.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental examinations, diagnose oral health issues, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment maintenance.
Lead dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff to support patient care and treatment coordination.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, procedures performed, and patient progress.
Stay current on advancements in dentistry, attend seminars, and pursue ongoing education.
Follow ethical and legal standards, regulatory guidelines, and patient confidentiality requirements.
