About The Position
OraQuest Dental is a trusted team of mobile dental professionals providing on-site dentistry to residents in long-term care facilities in San Antonio, all over and surrounding areas. We’re seeking a Part-Time General Dentist to join our growing senior care program. You’ll provide comprehensive dental treatment in a portable, on-site setting with full administrative and clinical support. All portable equipment and supplies are provided and maintained by FCL Dental.
Requirements
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Active Texas Dental License
- Current CPR/BLS and DEA certification
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual preferred
- Experience with geriatric dentistry preferred
- Experience with mobile dentistry preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental care to residents, including: Dentures (fabrication, adjustments, and repairs), Extractions, Fillings and restorative treatment, Preventive and diagnostic care, Creation of detailed treatment plans, Other procedures as needed
- Work closely with a Registered Dental Assistant to: Confirm appointments with facilities (minimum one week in advance), Obtain consents and medical clearances, Prepare, set up, and break down portable equipment
- Collaborate with a Registered Dental Hygienist to identify oral health changes and address concerns during monthly hygiene visits
- Enter treatment details into our online system and discuss plans with responsible parties as needed
- Focus on patient care — no billing or extensive paperwork required
