About The Position

Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) Seaport Dental Center is seeking an experienced, mission-driven General Dentist to help expand its new dental practice in Belfast, Maine. The dentist will provide high-quality oral health care to Waldo County communities, work closely with an integrated care team, contribute to the patient experience, and help establish a strong foundation for the growing practice. The practice offers preventive and specialty care, including restorative dentistry, oral surgery, fixed prosthetics, and walk-in care. The dentist may also provide walk-in care support. The role is based in an independent practice embedded in a primary care setting, with access to modern oral health technology and a collegial professional environment. PCHC is a nonprofit federally qualified health center governed by a board of community volunteers. It comprises fifteen practices and program service sites in Central Maine and is a primary health care provider and teaching center, with family nurse practitioner and pharmacy residency programs alongside integrated primary health services.

Requirements

Licensed dental experience: at least 2 years for internal candidates or 3 years for external candidates.
Comfort working in an independent practice.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with a Community Public Health Center or emergency experience is preferred.
Prior dental leadership experience is preferred.
