Perry WeatherDallas, TX

About The Position

About Perry Weather Perry Weather is the weather safety standard for organizations that operate outdoors. We combine on-site weather hardware with a software platform that automates alerts, siren activations, and safety decisions for more than 3,000 organizations — from the PGA of America, the NFL, and MLB to Turner Construction, thousands of school districts, cities, and golf courses. We've grown 80%+ annually for five consecutive years, and are continuing to grow. We're headquartered in Dallas at The Centrum, in the Oak Lawn neighborhood, where our teams work together every day to help organizations make faster and safer decisions when weather puts people, assets, and operations at risk. • Commercial agreements. Own partnership, referral, and reseller agreements, vendor and supplier agreements (SaaS, data, and hardware suppliers), staffing and consulting agreements, NDAs, real estate leases, and other commercial agreements.
  • Corporate legal. Handle entity governance, bylaws, and other corporate matters, and support financings, banking relationships, and other corporate transactions alongside our CFO.
  • Employment and IP. Support employment matters (offer letters, separation agreements, contractor arrangements) alongside our People function, and manage the protection of our intellectual property.

  • Everything else legal. You are the point person for all things Legal at Perry Weather, including coordination of outside counsel for various specialty matters.
  • Build the legal function. As our first legal hire, you'll build the function from scratch: Templates and playbooks. Standardize our customer contract templates and build negotiation playbooks with pre-approved fallback positions so deals move faster and sales knows what is negotiable.
  • Contracting process. Create a legal intake and review process with clear SLAs, so the business knows when legal is needed and gets fast turnaround when it is.
