You will be responsible for successfully completing all required training, and acquiring and demonstrating your capability to competently perform all required tasks in a safe manner in order to advance to Miner 2 at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation. This role is to recruit for an existing vacancy. The position will be on a 14 days on and 14 days off roster and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $103,973 to $140,669 CAD.

Requirements

  • Able to competently perform all skills progressively acquired to the level of Miner 4
  • Ability to read and understand mining prints and shoot lines
  • Good physical fitness with the ability to work in an underground environment
  • Competent communication abilities
  • Contribute to overall success of the team
  • Flexible, and willing to work on a rotational shiftwork basis
  • Hard working and conscientious
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work and interact with others
  • Willing and able to follow instructions
  • Self motivated
  • Willing to share knowledge and experienced with others
  • Able to work effectively alone and in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties with skills acquired as Miner 4, 5 and 6.
  • Train and successfully demonstrate ability to operate and obtain required licensing (e.g. forklift, torches, and various mining equipment).
  • Perform tasks as directed under the direction of supervisor.
  • Consistently work in a safe and conscientious manner.
  • Comply with all safety procedures.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Observe experienced workers to gain and increase knowledge of methods, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
  • Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
  • Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
