About The Position

PCSI is looking for a General Clerk at Edwards AFB, CA. This position will report to the project manager and is based at Edwards AFB, CA. The General Clerk provides customer service support through direct customer interaction and timely coordination. PCSI is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through employment, advocacy, partnerships, and innovation. They build and sustain skilled workforces that provide services across the country in areas such as facilities maintenance, environmental services, custodial and grounds, disability awareness training, job coaching, and job placement. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business/Logistics or a related field required, or the equivalent combination of formal training and related work experience.
  • Proficiency with word-processing, logistics, and integrated software applications.
  • Knowledge of clerical and logistics processes related to ordering, receiving, shipping, tracking, and documenting materials.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and take appropriate action based on reports, listings, and logistics records.
  • Ability to train customers and coworkers, provide proficiency training when needed, and assess trainee performance and progress.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
  • Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Ability to be insured as an authorized driver for the Company.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • Must qualify for and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service support through direct customer interaction and timely coordination.
  • Maintain accurate logistics records, including stock number loading, item record research, and related documentation.
  • Review GBLs, CBLs, TCMDs, shipping manifests, purchase orders, and DOD documentation to determine appropriate action.
  • Process documentation for over, short, and damaged material, including frustrated receipts.
  • Coordinate and expedite the movement of materials, parts, and assemblies between depots in alignment with production schedules, shipping schedules, and supervisor priorities.
  • Review material requirements and coordinate with customers to identify, locate, and resolve required or overdue materials.
  • Requisition materials, establish delivery sequences based on job order priorities and material availability, and coordinate receipt or transfer of materials to support production schedules.
  • Validate, monitor, and coordinate the status of ordered and received parts, including due-in-from-maintenance assets.
  • Monitor inventory levels and compile reports on material quantities and types on hand.
  • Review and analyze reports, listings, and logistics records; take required action and make recommendations based on available data.
  • Process property turn-ins as required.
  • Perform random quality control reviews to support accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow guidance from supervisors, leads, or other officials for non-routine tasks and work independently for short periods when needed.
  • Participation in the Performance Evaluation program is required.
