General Clerk (Seasonal)
About The Position

We’re looking for enthusiastic team members to work with us from May to September, with the exciting opportunity to grow into a permanent part-time or full-time role based on your performance and our operational needs. As a General Clerk at Ucluelet Co-op, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized service to our valued members. We prioritize establishing strong relationships with our members and fostering an environment that encourages their continued patronage. We are seeking a positive, dependable individual with a professional approach and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Operate the cash register/POS system, process payments, handle returns, and balance cash at the end of shifts.
- Ensure the store and warehouse are neat, clean, and well-merchandised at all times
- Assist in general stock duties, including filling shelves, facing merchandise, and putting away items when not cashing
- Perform receiving duties when required
- Have a good working understanding of the till operation
- Come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude
- Be dependable on all scheduled shifts
- Provide outstanding courteous customer service
- Be familiar with and adhere to all Ucluelet Co-op policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
