About The Position

Tessera is seeking an efficient and enthusiastic General Clerk III with a supportive attitude. This role is located at the Fort Meade Army Base in Fort Meade, MD. Tessera is a national non-profit, government contractor dedicated to “Creating Opportunities for People with Disabilities” by hiring and supporting individuals with disabilities and veterans with disabilities. This position is classified as Non-Exempt and is a Full-Time role.

Requirements

  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
  • A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Up to two (2) years of administrative/clerical experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to compile, research, format, and prepare necessary reports and project correspondence.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and strong mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phone calls and schedules appointments for staff.
  • Responsible for preparing correspondence, reports and presentations.
  • Drops off, picks up, sorts and distributes mail.
  • Tracks, monitors, and purchases supplies for the administrative office.
  • Responsible for making travel arrangements for management team.
  • Communicates professionally and courteously with internal and external customers.
  • Maintains professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.
  • Conducts new hire orientation.
