Salary/Hourly Rate:$17.75 Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review. ▪ Transport incoming mail/packages to x-ray machine for security screening. ▪ Transfer mail equipment from loading dock to Mail Center for sorting. ▪ Sort and prepare mail for distribution. ▪ Deliver and collect mail to designated mail stops twice a day. Additional Responsibilities ▪ Maintain a record of overnight packages and expenditures for incoming and outgoing mail. ▪ Prepare and batch incoming mail for digitization. ▪ Deliver accountable mail items to appropriate mailstop locations. ▪ Follow HAZMAT procedures for handling potentially hazardous mail. ▪ Process incoming accountable mail items utilizing SendSuite tracking system. ▪ Process outgoing mail via FedEx and USPS on the SendSuite Live system. ▪ Participate in all training required by funding source(s) as required. ▪ Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • Must be able to work well with people internally and externally at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to perform routine tasks on various classes of mail.
  • Ability to work on repetitive tasks for long periods of time with minimal supervision.
  • Abillty to opeatate various mail processing machines.
  • Good reading and writing skills.
  • Basic knowledge of various delivery couriers and differenence classes of mail.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to operate computer using Microsoft Office. Basic typing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience in related field preferred.
