About The Position

AHI Facility Services is hiring a detailed, energetic, and self-motivated General Cleaner to help maintain a clean environment at UT Arlington. The role involves cleaning floors and surfaces, removing waste, safely using cleaning chemicals, and completing other general cleaning duties as needed. Cleaners are expected to follow oral instructions and the assigned schedule, and to interact positively and cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, security, and management. The posting lists schedules of Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Monday–Friday, 6:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. The night shift pays $13 per hour. The position is identified as part-time; the posting also lists 1st shift, 2nd shift, and weekends.

Requirements

Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Be 18 years of age or older.
Have reliable transportation to and from work.
Be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds.
Be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain floors by vacuuming, mopping, and spotting carpets.
Clean and maintain surface areas, including dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, and windows, and polishing metal and wood.
Empty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow safety precautions when mixing cleaning solutions.
Represent the facility positively and cooperate with supervisors, coworkers, customers, security, and management.
Follow oral instructions and the assigned schedule.
Perform other general cleaning duties as needed.
