About The Position

The General Cleaner is a frontline team member who performs cleaning and disinfecting duties using 4M’s cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment. The role includes maintaining surfaces and floors, removing trash, replenishing restroom supplies, and observing facilities for issues that need attention. The description is representative, and duties may vary. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The position reports to the Account Supervisor/Account Manager.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Some janitorial experience is required; training in 4M’s practices is provided.
• Must successfully complete a drug screening and background check.
• Must comply with safety guidelines.
• Must wear provided 4M apparel and personal protective equipment when necessary, in accordance with the position and OSHA requirements.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use 4M’s cleaning and disinfecting practices, supplies, and equipment.
• Provide courteous and reliable service as a representative of 4M.
• Wipe down surfaces, including countertops, fixtures, glass, mirrors, windows, and furniture.
• Remove trash.
• Replenish towels, soap, and toilet paper.
• Sweep, wet mop, and vacuum.
• Report needed repairs or replacements and note leaks or drips.
