About The Position

A Janitor is responsible for keeping the workplace clean, organized, and disinfected. The role includes cleaning building interiors and work areas, maintaining restrooms and supplies, handling waste and recycling, monitoring cleaning-supply inventory, reporting unsafe or maintenance-related conditions, and documenting areas cleaned and inspected. Responsibilities

Clean building interiors, including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and other areas.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work areas.
Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture.
Dust furniture, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings.
Empty and clean trash cans and ashtrays.
Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
Clean and maintain restrooms and replenish supplies there and where required.
Wash and clean windows and mirrors.
Empty trash and recycling containers and take them to the disposal area.
Remove trash and snow from sidewalks when necessary.
Maintain the inventory of cleaning supplies and request missing materials from supervisors when applicable.
Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or conditions requiring maintenance.
Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
Follow safety and precaution rules.
Close doors at the end of the night shift.
