About The Position

The General Cleaner maintains the safety and cleanliness of a manufacturing facility worksite, communicates with the client to provide the best service possible, and represents PBS’s culture to clients. The role follows the building supervisor’s directions and assigned schedule, and may provide temporary coverage or assistance on other assigned jobs.

Duties include cleaning floors, windows, walkways, and restrooms; replenishing restroom supplies; reporting damage and maintenance needs; handling supplies and equipment; assisting with maintenance or minor repairs; and cleaning and properly storing tools and equipment after use. The position requires flexible hours based on company needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on company needs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to sustain periods of standing, sitting, walking, and kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Follow the building supervisor’s directions and assigned schedule.
• Relieve, assist, or temporarily fill in on other jobs as assigned by the supervisor.
• Dust, sweep, and mop floors as necessary; wash windows and window sills as needed; scrub or strip and wax floors as scheduled; and sweep exterior walkways.
• Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures, hardware, tile, mirrors, partitions, and floors.
• Replace restroom supplies as needed.
• Report damage to the supervisor and report maintenance needs.
• Load and unload supplies and equipment.
• Assist with maintenance work or minor repairs as needed.
• Clean tools, supplies, and equipment after each use and store them in their proper place.
• Maintain worksite safety and cleanliness, communicate with the client, and represent PBS’s culture to clients.
